Homophobia Issue on The Wonder Years Tour in Virginia

Last night at Empire in Virginia, the promoter of the The Wonder Years, Fireworks, Hostage Calm and Misser show called Misser’s merch guy a “faggot”, leading to a series of tweets and other social media hoopla. Since we’ve been away, we haven’t been able to cover this like we wanted to. A few days ago, the man pictures above, Wes Breedwell, was fired from the music venue Rocketown in Nashville, TN after working there for 7 years.

The cause? He wore a Hostage Calm t-shirt that says “I support same sex-marriage.” Rocketown, a Christian-owned venue, is not a church, or any such other place of worship, but Wes was fired because he displayed beliefs that “contradicted the mission” of the venue.
