Since we’ve been away, we haven’t been able to cover this like we wanted to. A few days ago, the man pictures above, Wes Breedwell, was fired from the music venue Rocketown in Nashville, TN after working there for 7 years.
The cause? He wore a Hostage Calm t-shirt that says “I support same sex-marriage.” Rocketown, a Christian-owned venue, is not a church, or any such other place of worship, but Wes was fired because he displayed beliefs that “contradicted the mission” of the venue. Click Read More to view statements from Hostage Calm and Rocketown, as well as view the official paperwork stating that the shirt was the reason he was fired.
What are your thoughts?
PS: In lieu of this, The Story So Far and Man Overboard are looking to move their show that was scheduled at the venue on 3/27.
PPS: Sparks The Rescue will ALSO be moving their show in Nashville due to this.
