Gibson Files for Bankruptcy

Gibson, one of the most noted names in musical instruments, has filed for bankruptcy. NPR reports:

The petition, filed on Tuesday, notes that the company currently has up to $500 million in debt and will focus its operations on its musical instruments business, “unburdened by the challenges experienced by [the company’s] separate, primarily non-U.S., consumer electronics business.” That business includes the brands KRK, Cerwin Vega and Stanton, whose lines include studio monitors, headphones and turntables.

Taking Back Sunday Part Ways With Bassist Eddie Reyes

Taking Back Sunday have announced that they are parting ways with founding member, bassist Eddie Reyes. They have cited no other reasoning for the split other than “personal reasons.”

“Guitarist Eddie Reyes and Taking Back Sunday have parted ways due to personal reasons,” the statement reads in part. “Eddie was a founding member of the band and his contributions can be felt all along the way. John, Shaun, Mark, and Adam love Eddie, wish him well in his future endeavors.”
